Hi Everyone .............this is my very first time trying to do any blogging, but I thought I would give it a try!!
First of all I want to say I had a hard time trying to figure out a name for my blog; so I tried to incorporate the words that I identify with; of course I couldn't get everything in the title. I don't want to diminish my roles as a Wife, Mother AND a Grandmother but with Rylan only 9 months old and me so new to this grandparent role, I wanted to be sure that I identified myself in that wonderful new persona.
Since what I most likely will be "blogging" about the most is my passion/hobby, running/jogging & racing; I thought it would be best to use that in the name of my blog too!
Today I did my second race of the weekend; the Stray Pet Strut 5K at Lake Lanier Islands. I am a big dog lover so I love to do this race which benefits Hall County Humane Society. We got a wonderful black lab there back in 1991 named Max and he lived to be 14 yrs old. So running a race to benefit the shelter where we got our beloved Max gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. Of course I LOVE seeing all the dogs there and would bring all the adoptable ones home if I could.
I don't think my three doggies would like that too much!
Since I just posted pictures of my three furbabies; it would only be appropriate to put a picture of Rylan on here too!! I will try to put his picture first but I am just learning how to use this blog so bear with me; if the dogs are showing up before Rylan, don't get the wrong idea, I love my grandson the most!! But those furbabies are pretty important too!
The next best thing about the Stray Pet today was that I had my second best time running a 5K that I have had this year. I have had a problem getting below 40 minutes since I have gained some weight and just don't seem to have much energy especially during the winter months. I did a 38:40 and got FIRST PLACE (by default but don't tell anyone; I still won it fair & square!).
Its late so I guess this is enough blogging for my first time!
If you read all this, you're probably asleep by now.........until next time.........

Good start! Congrats on the race.
ReplyDeleteNice pups. We like dachshunds. :)
Oh and the grandbaby looks good too.
Grand Baby is a cutie! I didn't mention his pretty Mommy because that's what happens when you become a Momma; nobody notices you anymore. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are off to a great start.
