I have been in a very nostalgic mood today for some strange reason. I don't have a clue why so I was trying to think of what to "blog" about tonight, so I had some pictures I had to round up for a friend who wrote a profile on me for the September Georgia Runner online magazine. Since he scanned these for me I had them to post here.
This one you see above is from kindergarten I believe. It is one of my favorites from my childhood. I guess because of my "innocent look" and the hair done in curls! Remember the way they used to roll small sections of hair around their fingers then use bobby pins to hold them flat to your head?? I think they called them pin curls! Well that is how this look was achieved!
I think this is enough to scare you with for tonight! I meant to take a photo with my cell phone today to post here on my blog every day but I forgot (as usual); then I remembered this one, an "oldie but goodie"..........
I'll try to blog about something a little more interesting tomorrow night. I took Tyler to his class at UGA tonight so I forgot to try to dream up something interesting to write about. I am sure no one wants to hear about my car trouble..........but here it is in a nutshell...........
I left my sunroof and window open over the weekend and never even thought about it over the weekend when we had some rain. I drove my little KIA Sorento to Winder to walk and to the YMCA yesterday evening after I cleaned out all the water and it was fine. Then today I went out to open the windows to let it air out and dry some more and I couldn't start the engine to get the power windows down. There was tons of condensation on the inside so I believe the moisture got to something and shorted something out. Mark is gonna check it out tomorrow (Wednesday).
Tonight I had to drive the big white tank to Athens and it was an experience! I don't drive a big vehicle very often so it takes a bit to get used to it but I did, so by the time we were coming home I was feeling quite comfortable! Oh well who knows, if Mark can't find the problem, I'll be tootling around in the BIG WHITE TANK until we can get my little KIA fixed!
Oh well, that's enough of the bad stuff going on here.........night night, I'll try to do better tomorrow!
P.S. Thought I better tell ya that its not really a "big white tank" but almost......its a Ford E-350 Econoline Van! Its huge with 3 bench seats! Mark bought it to pull his boat on trips and so that Tyler, Faith (white shepherd) and Torrey would each have a bench seat all to themselves on trips!
