Its a sad day for Phenix City, AL and for Auburn GA because our precious little grandson, Rylan and our daughter, Tobey, his mother have left these two states! Of course our son in law Chris left too!!
They left about 2pm Wed/27th to head out for Sierra Vista AZ, which is 1,672 miles from Phenix City. They arrived Friday night late, I think it was about 10pm when they got into the hotel on base.
I was worried sick until they arrived at their destination. Tobey and I texted or talked as they crossed the country. She drove Chris's car and Rylan rode with her. Chris drove the Trailblazer and pulled the trailer. The dogs, Tucker & Mickey rode with Chris.
My heart is breaking because I can't just hop in the car and go get Rylan or get Tobey to bring him to us for a few days. Since he was one yr old we have been keeping him at least once a month for a few days. The past 6 months we have been getting him to stay with us more often, about every 2-3 weeks he would stay for a long weekend.
The picture I posted here is the one I have as background on my cell phone so everytime I use my phone I see his beautiful little face. That's about all I can blog about it now, I cry when I think about the 10 long months they will be in AZ. Even sadder than that is that we don't know where they will go after Chris finishes his schooling in AZ.
