January 2, 2012 - Pretty Good Day!

Well so far so good is what I always say!  I got thru the second day of doing some form of exercise for at least 30 minutes for 100 days.

My weigh-in this morning was a GOOD one; I weighed 140.2 so I am down 0.8 tenths of a lb!  Hope I keep going in the right direction!

The challenge I am talking about is John Bingham's 100 Day Challenge; he says to do intentional movement for 30 minutes; its okay to break it up into 2 or 3 segments.  I was able to walk in the wind and cold for 32 minutes at a pretty quick pace today.  I did it in Flowery Branch at the Kohls shopping village there.

I went to Kohls today because it was the last day to use my $30 in Kohls Cash so I had to find some "stuff" for myself.  As usual I got running pants and some yoga type summer tops.  I will definitely have plenty to wear this summer when its so hot!

The weather has turned off cold today; got a good fire going tonight and plan to stay warm.  Its supposed to get down in the 20s!  The dogs don't want to go outside to go potty!

Speaking of the dogs, I got a good picture of Kyra in Mark's lap in his recliner this evening!  She's getting big, Torrey weighed her and she weighed 28 lbs.  She's gained about 7.5 lbs since I got her about 3 1/2 weeks ago.
Oh now that leads me to blog about the adventure we had here last night!  About 1:30am Riley started barking and running to the back door to go outside.  This is typical when he needs to go out or he hears a "critter" out there and wants to run it off.  He went out, I lay down on the couch with the back door cracked for him to come back in; he does and we settle down. Kyra went into her crate and I was giving her a few minutes to get settled then was planning to get up and shut the door to her crate but before I could ALL HELL BROKE LOSE!!  It was dark and the dogs were running all over the kitchen/dining area and living room chasing something!  Finally I got light on and saw a BIG YELLOW TABBY CAT clinging to the window for dear life!  Mark finally heard the commotion and came in the living room, he helped me get the two little ones into Kyra's crate and I held Kyra while he got the front door open (by this time the cat had climbed the curtain on front door) and he got a stick and finally prodded it outside on front porch and hopefully back where he came from!

We had to give all 3 dogs a "doggy downer" to help get them to settle down.  We had to take them outside with flashlights to sniff around to see if they could find the cat.  Of course he was gone; at least for awhile, hope he doesn't come back!  Then we came in and settled them down!  I didn't get to sleep until about 5am because I was pretty wired up after all that too!  If the doggy downers had smelled good I would have been tempted to take one myself!

Well that's the latest chapter in the wild goings on at the Duncan house.
Til next time..............later gators!
